Just a couple of days ago, happened to pass through Leicester square and saw a big gaping hole where a big building existed. For the life of me I could not figure out what stood there - I should have done the easier thing and looked at the barriers around the site which said ‘Swiss Centre’

Well, the Swiss Centre is no more - and I am pretty sure no one’s really going to miss it. Instead Starwood’s funky brand W will make an appearance on the same spot by late 2010.

Something Leicester square will really be looking forward to and make it distinctly upmarket than it is now!

W is expected to go to Manchester next!

Starwoods popular loyalty programme Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG), has raised the bar further in the Loyalty game by taking the ‘NO BLACKOUTS’ further and introducing it to SPG Flights.

Launched very recently,  SPG Flights lets members book flights on hundreds of domestic and international airlines with no black out dates. Members use the  SPG  website to search for and select their preferred flight and class of service, and redeem their Starpoints for the entire cost of the flight.
